- Ca++ channel blocker. Greater selectivity for smooth muscle over cardiac. However lack of cardiac depressant effect leads to increased reflex tachycardia.

- Ca++ channel blocker. Nonspecific antagonism.

- Ca++ channel blocker. Approved for HTN only.
- Captopril
- ACEI. First nonpeptide ACE inhibitor. No intrinsic activity. May produce bone marrow depression.
- Enalapril
- ACEI. Prodrug metabolized to enaliprilat. 10-20x more potent than captopril. Does not contain sulfahydryl group.
- Lisinopril
- ACEI. A lysine derivative of enalipril
- Benazepril, Fosinipril, Ramipril
- ACEI. Lack sulfa group. Are prodrugs. Benazepril and ramipril are cleared mainly by kidney.
