What is the life cycle of L. donovani?
The infected fly bites the human, parasites are engulfed by macrophages (out of vascular) which are killed by parasite. The cycle continues where macrophages burst and infect others till the reticuloendothelial (moncyte & macrophage) system is severly damaged. Human suffers annemia and death
Dermal leishmanoid
develops in 5-10% of infected humans in India. It causes disfiguring
