Wright Stain

- Romanowsky type
- Primary ingredients:
- methylene blue (neg, basic dye)
- eosin Y or eosin B (pos, acid dye)
- methyl alcohol
- phosphate buffer pH 6.4-6.7

- Prepare smear & air dry
- Fix smear in methyl alcohol (adhere cells to slide, down't wash off & holds morphology)
- Add methylene blue/eosin stain for 3 min
- Add phosphte buffer to stain and mix<
