- convergance of anterior divisions of upper(C5-6) and middle(C7) trunks of brachial plexus.

- convergance of posterior divisions of all three trunks of the brachial plexus

- a continuance of the lower trunk (like its anterior division, because its posterior goes to the posterior cord)

median - axillary artery
- offspring of the subclavian artery. upon crossing the teres major at the armpit, becomes the brachial artery.
- brachial artery
- supplies the brachial muscles (surprise); offspring of the axillary arery. gives rise to the deep brachial artery, and then continues down the spiral groove of the humerus.
- deep brachial artery
- a branch of the brachial artery; supplies blood to the posterior upper arm.
- ulnar artery
- a branch of the brachial artery that splits at the elbow joint (cubital fossa). the other branch is the radial
- radial artery
- a branch of the brachial artery that splits at the cubital fossa. the other branch is the ulnar
- superficial palmar arch
- the fate of the ulnar artery; a loop in the palm of the hand (facing anteriorly in anatomical position). anastomoses with the deep palmar arch.
- deep palmar arch
- the fate of the radial artery; anastomoses with the superficial palmer arch; located in the back of the hand (dorsal in anatomical position)

- Subclavian artery
- underneath the clavicle, offspring of the brachiocephalic trunk. upon coming out from hiding under the clavicle, becomes the axillary artery in the armpit.
