- comb
- a thin strip of plastic or metal with many teeth. it is passed through the hair to smooth it down. the part that grows from the top of the head of hens, roosters, and some other kinds of birds. to smooth down the hair with a comb. to search all over with great care.
- suburb
- one of a number of towns that are close to, but separate from, a large city.
- violet
- a small plant with lowers that are usually blue or purple. a color between blue and purple.
- album
- a book with blank pages in which pictures or stamps can be kept. a holder for a long-playing record; also the record itself
- evil
- something that causes pain and suffering. being willing to do anything bad or wicked.
- disappear
- to pass out of sight. to die out; to be no longer around
- author
- a person who writes books, stories or plays.
- bead
- a small, usually round, piece of wood, glass, or other material with a hole in it through which a string can be passed. a small drop or bubble.
- athlete
- a person who take part in sports.
- canal
- a waterway dug to allow ships and boats to cross through land. a ditch used to carry water for growing plants.
- balcony
- a part of a building that sticks out in the air, usually with a low wall or railing around it. an upper level in a theater that sticks out over the main floor.
- adult
- someone or something that is fully grown. fully grown; having reached full size. suitable only for grown-up people
- lecture
- a talk given to a class or audience. to give a talk before a class or audience. to give a long scolding to.
- brand
- a burning stick. a mark put on something to show who owns it. a kind or make of something. to burn a mark upon. to put a feeling of disgrace or shame upon.
- tongs
- a tool that is used for gripping and holding things.
- autograph
- something written in a person's own handwriting, especially that person's name. to write one's name on something.
- vivid
- very bright and stongly colored. giving a clear and stong picture in the mind.
