- Line of Sight Restriction
- Distance you can see ahead in the direction you are looking but cannot see past it.
- Point of no return
- Point beyond which a driver can no longer stop safely without entering the intersection

- To allow another vehicle or roadway user to proceed first.
- Controlled intersection
- Intersection at which traffic signals or signs determine the right of way.
