- Dorsal Recumbent/Supine

Lies on abdomen with head turned to the side (this position allows full extension of hip and knee joints),
-Good for unconscious clients or those recovering from surgery of the throat or mouth because it promotes drainage from the mouth

A semisitting position in which the head and trunk are raised 45-90 degrees
-Good for clients that have difficulty breathing and for some with heart problems - Semi/Low-Fowler's Position
- The head is raised 15-45 degrees

- The head is raised 90 degrees (in this position the knees may not be flexed)
- Orthopenic
- An adaption of high-Fowler's; the client sits with an overbed table across the lap, the client rests head and hands on pillows on overbed table (this position facilitates respiration by allowing max chest expansion)

-Side-lying with the top hip and knee flexed and placed in front of the body to create stability
-For clients who are confined to bed in the fowler's position or sit a lot throughout the day, it reduces lordosis and promotes back alignment - Pressure Points: Supine
- Heels(calcaneus), Sacrum, Elbows (olecranon process), Scapulae, Back of head (occipital bone)
- Pressure Points: Lateral
- Malleolus (medial and lateral), knee (medial and condyles), Greater trochanter, Ilium, Shoulder (acromial process), Ear, Side of head (parietal and temporal bones)
- Pressure Points: Prone
- Toes (phalanges), Knees (patellas), Genitalia (men), Breasts (women), Shoulder (acromial process), Cheeck and ear (zygomatic bone)
- Pressure Points: Fowler's position
- Heels (calcaneus), Pelvis (ischial tuberosity), Sacrum, Vertbrae (spinal processe)
