- Habitat
- Area where an organism lives
- Secondary Succession
- Only soil is left such as an abandoned field or debris from a forest fire.
- Estuaries
- Where rivers meet the sea (organisms feed on detritus)
- Biotic Factors
- All biological organisms and influences in an ecosystem (everything organic, plants and animals)
- Logistic Growth/Carrying Cappacity
- As the resources become limited, the population reaches it's carrying capacity (the environment can no longer supply or carry this population) and the growth slows or stops. The graph of this shows a typical "S" curve for logistic growth

- Observing, experimenting and modeling.

- Assemblages of different populations that live together in a defined area
