- Frederick the Great
- Ruled Prussia. Centeralized the government and put it under his control. THey called him the Royoal Drill Sergeant beacause he devoted his life around the Prussian Army. The Passian Army became the most efficient fighting force ub Europe., King of Prussia (1740-1786). Successful in the War of the Austrian Succession (1740-1748) and the Seven Years' War (1756-1763), he brought Prussia great military prestige in Europe.

- He ruled Russia when he was 22 of age.He believed his country must Westernize in order to be successful., St. Petersburg. Modernized Russia., ruled Russia from 1682 to 1725, wanted closer ties to western europe, modernize and strengthen Russia
- Louis XIV
- Louis was recognized as one of the most pwerful monarchs of Europe. He ruled for 72 years. Called himself the Sunking. Moved the capital from Patis to Versailles.

- Charles 2's successor, James 2, was dislike for his support of Catholicism in England. When his son with born people were afraid of catholic monarchy becoming reestablished in England. Parliament replaced James2 with his daughter Mary and her husband Willian of Orange.
