Space - cross-hatching

- organic forms
- forms that are not solid geometric forms ex: backpack (mushed up)
- advantages to still life
- artists can control light/dark (value/shadows); nothing changes; same position/shape/form; artist can get up and walk away adn it will be the same thing; artist can take as long as they like
- proportion
-
using observational skilols to understand the proportion of the objects in the still life
ex: shorter, taller, 1/2 size - spacial depth
-
start with objects and draw parts of objects closest to you and they go lowest on paper;
1st-->draw what is closest to you 1st then work back - depth
- created by drawing only what you see
- chiara
- bright
- scuro
- dark
