- Aerosols
- Liquid and solid particles supended in the air,such as dust or ash.
- Albedo
- A measure of reflectivity; the higher the albedo the higher the reflectivity
- Atmospheric Circulation Cells
- One of the six distinct air mases ( Three in each hemisphere) With individual air flow patterns.
- Convection
- A vertical circulation patterns in a gas or liquid caused by hot material rising and cold material sinking
- Coriolis Effect
- The apparent deflection of a body in motion with respect to the earth
- Cyclone
- Large rotationg storm system of low pressure air with Convererging winds at the center
- Density
- A measure of a quantity such as mass
- GreenHouse
- The tendency for the atmosphere to hold heat energy close to the earth's surface
- Mesosphere
- Layer of the atmosphere from 50,000 to 90,000 meters (164,000 to 295,000 Feet) <- Above sea level.
- Monsoon
- Local seasonal wiond pattern caused by heat from the continents that result in summers with significant rainfall and winters with very little
- Orbit Inclination
- The angle of tilt measured with 0 at perpendicular between a plants rotation axis and the plane of its orbit around the sun.
- Stratosphere
- Layer of atmosphere from 15,000 to 50,000 meters
- Troposphere
- Layer of atmosphere in contact with earth to 15,000 metters
