- SSRI, used for depression, OCD, overeating. Increase in suicidal ideation.
- Prozac
- Used as a substitution drug (for addictions), an important nursing intervention is to check BP.

- A drug used in detoxification, may build up in liver is the liver is damaged.

- A mood stabilizer, used in patients with Bipolar Disorder, a salt that isn't metabolized, competes with sodium in the body.

- 2 SSRI's used for OCD

- An anti-seizure/mood stabilizer, used for manic episodes in bipolar disorder, possibly causes rash, teratogenic, possible liver toxicity.
- Depakote
- A Benzodiazepine, for quick mood stabilization, also used for seizure prevention, can be addicting.
- Klonopin
- 2 MAO's, used for depression, not used often due to non compliance of low tyramine diet.
- Nardil, Parnate
- Atypical antipsychotic, used in the mgmt. of psychotic disorders, may cause late onset diabetes.
- Risperdal
- An atypical antipsychotic, used in the mgmt. of schizophrenia, has few side effects, possible cause of late onset diabetes
- Seroquel
- An anti-seizure, mood stabilizer, used in the treatment of rapid cycling bipolar disorder. Side effect is high incidence of rash.
- Tegretol
- Earliest antipsychotic, used in treatment of schizophrenia, has many EPS, also causes sedation, anticholinergic effects, ortho. hypotension, and seizures.
- Thorazine
- An antidepressant that has the least sexual dysfunction and lowers the seizure threshhold.
- Wellbutrin
- An atypical antipsychotic used in the mgmt. of psychotic disorders. May cause late onset diabetes. Starts with Z.
