- everything
- DON'T FORGET YOUR LUGAGE(WHOLE NUMBERS)
- When addding fractions
- make sure they have common denominators and line them up vertically
- when barrowing with mixed numbers
- you must cross out the whole number and add the numerator and the denominator then your new fraction is perfect(ex. 4 and 5 3rds - 2 and 7 3rds yuo cross out the big number then add 5 +3 you get 8 thewn your new fraction is 3 and 8 thirds)
- finding the greatest fraction
- chang the denominator to something the fractions denominator can both go into, then well here is an example(6 over10 and 3 over 5 and 4 over 5. now change the denominators to 10 because they all go into ten. then scincve you multiply the denominator by 2 you multipy the numerator by 2)
- multipying fractions
- they do NOT need common denominators(make sure your answer is in lowest terms)
- subtracting fractions
- line them up vertically, make sure they have common denominators and make sure it is in lowest terms
- Dividing fractions
- you KEEP the 1st frction CHANGE the operation to multipication and FLIP the other fraction the see if you can simplify before you multiply
- lcm
- you do a factor tree you line up the factors you look for poares u represent them once then you bring all the left over numbers down then multipy
- finding equivilant fractions
- just multipy it by anything!(the easiest is just to multiply it by 2 or 10)
- GCF
- example: make a factor tree then say you did 36 and 27 once you have done the factor tree the multiples for 36 are 2,2,3,3 for 27 they are 3,3,3 you find the pares and multipy them)Tada
