What is a negative double? -
Partners opening bid is overcalled and you can't bid
what you wanted to becasue you don't have the card length or points.(you must have 5 spades to bid 1S over 1H). -

When your partner has bid a negative double how many points should you assume she has? - There is no limit to the points but only assume she has 6-10.

If you have a very good hand and partner has made a negative double what should you do to keep her from passing? - Que bid. She should also let you know if she as a stopper in the oppenents suits.

If you opened with a pre-emptive bid what does your partners bid of a new suit mean? - It means don't pass. It shows 5+ cards. Support the suit if you have singleton A, a doubleton with an honor or bid your suit again with 5-8 points or bid a new suit or no trump with 9-11 points.

If you opened with a pre-emptive bid what does your partners bid of 2NT mean? - Don't pass(partner has bal o.H) with 5-8 points rebid your suit. With 9-11 bid a suit with an A or K or bid 3NT.
