Peripheral
Any hardware attached to and controlled by the computer, such as the keyboard, monitor or mouse.
Drive
A designation that is used to specify a storage location, the hard disk or floppy disk in use.
Scanner
An input device that takes in an optical image and digitalizes it.
CD-R
A compact disk that you can write only once and after is read-only memory.
Operating Systems
A program the provides an interface between the user or application program and computer hardware.
Microphone
A device used to convert sound waves.
