Byline
Tells who wrote the story
Dateline
Actually a placeline; tells where the story happened; used to contain the date.
Wire Services
Companies that sell news stories to papers;ex UPI, United Press.
Cut
Any graph or picture on the page; formerly a woodcut.
Cutline
Caption under the cut
Jump
Tells you where the story is continued.

Lead

Analysis
