- intertidal zone
- the area located between high tide and low tide

- the process by which plants use energy from the sun to make sugar from water and carbon dioxide

- any aquatic organism capable of photosynthesis simgle or mult-celled organisms that carry out photosynthesis and are found in the oceans and in fresh water

- the region of water that lies above the continental shelf

- mollusks with only one shell such as the snail or the conk

- the long line of seaweed and debris deposited on the beach during high tide

- the part of the mollusk that forms the shell and has special cells that secrete pigments
