- climax community
- A stable mature community that undergoes little or no succession
- estuary
- A coastal body of water, partially surrounded by in land, in which fresh water and salt water mix
- density-independent factor
- Factors that affect all populations, regardless of their density (ex. abiotic factors like temperature, storms, floods, drought, and habitat disruption)
- expotential growth
- Number of organisms in a population rises at an ever-increasing rate
