Main part of body: trunk/abdomen + chest. (Most consider head and neck too)
Appendicular
Legs and Arms (appendiges)
Superior (cranial)
towards the head
Inferior (caudal)

Closer to the midline (nose medial to your eyes)

The point furthest from the point of attatchment.

Plane
A flat surface
Sagittal Section
A vertical cut, creating two new sections, a right and a left
Mid-Sagital
A vertical cut on the midline, producing equal right and left hand sides
Para-Sagital
A vertical cut that is not on the idine, producing two unequal rt. and left sides
Frontal Section (coronal
A verticle cut that produces a front and a back.
Transverse (horizontal or cross section)
A horizontal cut

At an angle (cut)
Dorsal Body Cavity
Towards the back
Cranial Cavity
The Head cavity. (dorsal)
Spinal cavity (vetebral)
The cavity formed by the spinal cord. (dorsal)
Plantar surface
Bottoms of your feet
Palmar Surface

Serosa (serous)
A watery tpe looking fluid. Produced by the membranes on your internal organs. (They are they're for lubrication when for example, you exercise.)
Mucosa( mocous)
Line all the openings to the external part of your body. To capture dust and shit.
Parietal
The wall of your body cavities. (between lung and ribs)
Homeostasis
Internal environment that is safe and stable
Receptor
Receptors that pick up enviornmental changes
Control center
Your brain, takes the infro from the receptor
Effector
The part of the body that recieves a command and carries out a duty
Negative Feedback Mechanism
Opposite response in an opposite direction of what it was told to do. (hand on stove.)
