- culture
- A people's way of life, including their language, religion, ethics, laws, and arts.
- Judeo-Christian heritage
- A heritage whose primary influence is Judaism, Christianity, and the Bible, rather than pagan religions.
- Puritan or Protestant Work Ethic
- The idea that work is a gift from God and a means of glorifying Him.
- Free Enterprise Capitalism
- The American economic system by which the means of production and distribution (land, factories, railroads, etc.) are privately owned and operated.

- Anything that helps people remember a past event.
- Pledge
- A solemn promise, as in "The Pledge of Allegiance"
- Allegiance
- Our loyalty, support, and devotion to duty, as in our "allegiance to the flag of the United States of America."
- National Anthem
- The official patriotic hymn or song of a country. (Our National Anthem is "The Star Spangled Banner" by Francis Scott Key)
- Patriotism
- A love for and loyalty to one's country
- Americanism
- The spirit of patriotism that we feel for our country.
- Heritage
- Characteristics and traditions handed down to us by our ancestors.
- Nationalism
- The promotion of one's own nation and government regardless of moral considerations.
