- Belief in one god.
- Social Philosophy
- A set of guiding principles that a community follows.

- The spirits of 'kami' exist in all things (including their emperor)
- Reincarnation
- One's soul is reborn into another form until perfection is reached.
- Four Noble Truths
- 1. Everyone sufferes; 2. Suffereing is caused by having desires; 3. To end you suffering, end your desires; 4. Follow the Eight-Fold Path
- Religion
- Organized beliefs and rituals of a culture; usually with a "god" or spiritual force.
- Jerusalem
- Holy city for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
- Missionaries
- People who spread religion by teaching others about their beliefs.
