- Island-hopping
- The process of the allies capturing island after island as they advanced toward Japan in World War II.
- Minimum Wage
- The lowest pay a worker can receive by law.

- A product made for personal use.

- The many workers and groups needed to run government programs.

- Air transportation.
- Suburb
