bar graph
A graph that uses bars to show data. The bars may be of different lengths.
equally likely
In probability, when there are the same chances for more than one event to happen, the events are equally likely to occur.
graph
A drawing that shows a relationship between certain sets of numbers.
key
A list of words or phrases that explains the symbols used in a table or graph.
not equally likely
In probability, when there is not the same number of chances for more than one event to happen.
organized list
A strategy that uses the arrangement of information to ensure that every possibility will be considered, with no repetitions.
outcome
The result of a probabilty experiment.
pictograph
A graph that uses pictures or symbols to show data.
probability
The chance that a given outcome will occur. The chance or likelihood of an event occurring.
tally mark
using marks to record counting
Ex.
tally chart
A graph that uses tally marks to stand for a certain set of numbers.
tree diagram
A diagram that shows all possible outcomes of an event or events.
label
to name the parts of a graph
arrangements
putting in order
combinations
the possible arrangements of a certain number,or of all the elements of a set.
