- Human rights
- are the standards of treatment and equal opportunity for everyone so they can have fair, free and peaceful lives.
- Human rights commission
- advises government on Human Rights issues, answers inquiries from the public and investigates cases of unlaeful discrimination.
- Commissioner for children
- Protects the rights of children and investigates cases of child abuse such as bullying in schools.
- Repression
- Restrain or keep under control.
- Prejudice
- intolerance or hatred of other races
- Discrimination
- to treat differently, generally unfavorably due to prejudice.
- Conscience
- a sense of what is right, wrong, good or bad.
- Amnesty International
- helps free people in prison because of their beleifs in social justice (conscience).
- Social Justice
- based on United Nations Human Rights declaration.
- Torture
- inflict or give bodily pain.
- Genocide
- The extermination (killing) of a race.
- Racism
- The beleif that one race is superior to another and judging people on skin colour.
- Sexual harassment
- Upsetting a person with unwanted actions or words to do with sex.
- Disability discrimination
- treating people unfairly because they have a disability such as being blind, deaf etc.
- Terrorism
- Actual or threatend use of violence to acheive political goals.
