- The genetic make-up of a trait
- Punnett Square
- A chart that is used to organize all the possible combinations of alleles that can result from a genetic cross
- Probability
- The chance that something will happen. (ex.: Probability of getting Heads or Tails is 50%)
- Purebred
- Always produces offspring with the same form of the trait
- Allele
- The different forms of a gene
- Heterozygous
- An organism with 2 different alleles for a trail, ex: (Bb)

- The passing of traits from parents to offspring.

- The characteristics of organisms, such as height or hair color
- Homozygous
- An organism with 2 identical alleles for a trait, ex.: (BB, or bb)

- Recessive Allele
- An allele whose trait is masked/hidden whenever the dominant allele is present, and only appears if a dominant allele is not present.

- An allele whose trait always shows up in the organism
- Hybrid
