- Capillary Hydrostatic pressure is
- Pushing based on BP and gravity
- What can we do in PT?
- PRICE protection, rest, ice, commpression, eleveation
- Capillary Osmotic pressure is?
- Pullingfrom a Higher area of Protein to a lower area
- Inflammation
- Occurs: 1-6 days Goal : protection, healing, brings in blood
- Erythrocytes provide?
- Oxygen to the area
- Ploliferation
- Occurs: 3-20 days Goal: cover the wound & start to strenghthen the area. Epithelialization, Collegen production, and Wound contraction. What canwe do? Active ROM increaces collegen production & BP whitch brings in more blood= O2
- Maturation
- Ocuurs: 15-18 days and last about 1 year. Goal: Funtioning state
- Inflammation stage has 3 responses and they are?
- Vascular, Hemostatic, and Immune
- Vascular resonce during Imflammation
- Immdiate constriction of damaged vesseles to minimize bloos loss. Dialation of undamaged vessels & increace cappillary permeabillity cuasing inflammation. Vsoconsriction increases viscosity of blood- which leads to clotting.
- Vascular responce during Inflammation. Pressure changes cause EDEMA by?
- Increasing fluid flowing into interstitial spaces
- Leukocytes clear the area of?
- Debris
- Hemostasis
- Occurs: Imediate Goal: Stop bleedin,
- Swelling=
- Lymph system is blocked, not picking up the lymph - so it is left out in the interstitual spaces
