- caused by agents such as virusus, some bacteria, protists, and fungi.

- complex group of defenses that your body has to fight disease.

- occurs when your body makes its own antibodies in response to an antigin.
- passive immunity
- occurs when antibodies that have been produced in another animal are introduced to the body.
