- Object

- Flip
- To reverse an image horizontally or vertically
- Rotate
- To pivot an object around its center point
- Crop
- To cut or remove portions of an object.
- Link
- To paste an object in a publication maintaining a connection to the source file. When changes are made to the source file, the object can be updated
- Stroke
- The line used to draw an object
- Bitman
- A type of graphic in which the image is created using a series of dots.
- Group
- Combine multiple objects together into one unit.
- Scale
- To change the size of an object. Also, the size of and object
- Floating object
- An object that can be sized and positioned anywhere on the page.
- Fill
- The area inside a shape.
- Embed
- To paste an object into a publication without maintaining a connection to the source file
- Scanner
- A hardware device used to transfer printed images or text into a computer file
- Pixels
- A single tiny dot used as a unit of measure and to define images on a computer screen. Short for picture element
- Stack
- Arrange objects in overlapping layers
- Vector
- A type of graphics in which the image is created using lines and curves defined by mathematical formulas
- Download
- Copy files from one another, usually from a network to a computer on the network.
- Picture frame
- A frame used as a placeholder for a graphics object
- Distribute
- Adjust the space between objects in an image or publication.
