- Paste board
- Area outside the publication edges used to hold graphics, text, or other items until you are ready to place them.
- Landscape
- When a piece of paper is horizontal and wider than is taller.
- Margins
- The blank space bordering the written or printed area on a page.
- Pixels
- The smallest discrete component of an image or picture on a screen (usually a colored dot); "the greater the number of pixels per inch the greater the resolution
- Leading
- Refers to the amount of space between lines of text.
- Kerning
- To adjust between space characters in typeset text.
- Query
- A user's request for information, generally as a formal request to a database or search engine.
- Menu bar
- Row of words across top of the screen that "pull down" to revel other commands.
- Multimedia
- Pressing text, graphics, video, animation, and sound through the use of a computer.
- Points
- A unit of measure used for type. There are 72 points in an inch.
- Minimize
- To reduce the size of a spreadsheet or blank document
- Layout Guides
- The blue lines indicating the page margins
- Paste
- To cover a blank area within a document with a graphic, picture or set of data.
- Portrait
- When a piece of paper is vertical and taller than it is wide
- Merge
- To combine or unite two sets of data.
