Does the Vietnamese language have tones and marks? Why?
Yes it does. The tones and marks play an important role in word distinction.

Example:
bàn: table
bán: to sell
bạn: friend
Does the Vietnamese language have verbal conjugations?
No. It doesn't have verbal conjugations, no change of form of verbs, adjectives, nouns, etc. EX: A sentence like "Tôi làm" (I work) has the verb "work" (to work); when you want to say "work" in the past tense, in English, you will add "ed" after the verb: "work" --> "worked", or you will use the form of an irregular verb: go --> went. HOWEVER, in Vietnamese, the verb never changes its form. Instead, you will put an auxiliary verb just before the main verb. "Tôi làm" (I work) --> "Tôi đã làm" (I worked). The word "đã" has no explicit meaning, it just indicates the past time.
What is the basic word order in the Vietnamese language.

What is the yes/no structure?
Look at this sentence: "Anh có khoẻ không" (How are you?), This structure is: You + có + to be fine + không + ? The interrogative structure "có ... không ?" is used to form a tota l question. What is a total question? It's a question to which you will answer "Yes" or "No" for the whole information. In between "có" and "không" can be a verb, an adjective: Anh có gặp anh Nam không? (Do you meet Mr. Nam?) Chị có vui không? (Are you happy?)
