- Cold War
- 1940s-1990s. The Soviet Union and the U.S. built huge military forces and nuclear weapons; never formally went to war.

- Country w/ population of about 4 million people, not as diverse as other countries; almost are Armenian, belong to the Armenian Orthodox Church, and speak Armenian.
