- freezing nuclei
- kinds of condensation nuclei with a crystalline structure similar to that of ice.
- cumulus clouds
- thick, billowy cloud that forms above strauts clouds and below cirrus clouds

- one way cloud droplets reach the percipitation stage

- the method meterologists are able to attempt to cause or increase percipitation

- process by whitch water vapor changes to liquid water
- advection fog
- condesnation of water vapor that results from the cooling of warm, moist, air as it moves across a cold surface.

- a cumulus cloud at an intermediate altitude of 2 or 3 miles

- a ration that compares the mass of water vapor in the air with the mass of water vapor that the air can hold at it's saturation point.

- condensation of water vapor that results when cool air moves over warm water

- a thick layer of sheet ice formed when rain freezes as it contacts a surface

- what water vapor, ice crystals, and water droplets have gone through yet do not freeze due to lack of freezing nuclei.
- saturated
- this happens to air when it is holding all the water vapor it can at a given temperature.

- any instrument that records the changing length of a bundle of hairs when humidity changes
- sleet
- ice pellets that form when rain falls through a layer of freezing air
- latent heat
- hidden, energy stored in molecules
- hail
- a type of precipitation in the form of lumps of ice
- dew point
- the temperature to which air must be cooled to reach saturation
- dew
- the resulting form of condensation
- rain guage
- instrument used to measure the amount of rainfall
- cumulonimbus clouds
- cloud that creates thunder heads aka rain clouds

- sold particles in the atmosphere such as ice and dust, that provide the surfaces on which water vapor condensess

- decrease of the temperature of a mass of air that results as the air rises and expands.

- an instrument used to measure relative humidity.

- condesnation of water vapor that results from the cooling of air that is in contact with the ground

- a cooling produced when wind carries warm, moist air, across a cold ocean or region of land

- decrease in the temperature of a mass of air that results as it moves over a cold surface
- cirrus cloud
- curly forming cloud above 6,000 ft, made of ice crystals, sunlight can easily pass through
- cirrostratus clouds
- a thin uniform layer of hazy cloud at high altitude
- up slope fog
- condensation of water vapor that results from the lifting of adiabatic cooling of air rising up a slope of land
- stratus cloud
- a cloud with a sheet like or layered form that is the lowest cloud in the sky
- sublimation
- process in which a solid changes directly into a gas, or a gas changes directly into a solid.
