Inappropriate coaching/Instruction (Extrinsic)
This is when, wrong information is given to a sports person for technique and tactics.
Inadequate warm up (Intrinsic)
This is quite a common cause of inury and can be corrected very easily as every one who plays sport knows they should do it!
Poor technique (Intrinsic)
This is somthing you may do with out realising and may be an affect of your body to suit its needs. For example you take a shot at football with your foot pointing slightly to the wrong way. This is becasue your foot doesnt turn the whole range because of precious injury.
Poor preperation (Intrinsic)
This risk can be due to 3 factors 1) Mental preperation 2) Physical condition/fitness 3) Acclimatisation
Muscular imbalance (Intrinsic)
This is when symetrical parts of the body are stronger or weaker than the other.
Postural defect (Intrinsic)
This can not be helped but is a defect of the body which could cause dangerous technique. For example lower shoulder on one side, may cause problems while doing Judo
Equipment, clothing and footwear (Extrinsic)
It is one of the most common risk factors of sport. Caused by objects and things you wear for sport and is possible for them to have a male function.
Other sports players (Extrinsic)
This is risk is caused by other people either purposley or in purposley
Overuse (Intrinsic)
This is a risk that causes many injuries due to constant use of a certain body part. For example - Tendonitis
Age (Intrinsic)
This risk causes differnt types of injury and servity at different stages in your life. For example - broken bones at a later stage in life
Incorrect technique (Extrinsic)
This could be a cause of incorrect coaching, could have been practicing wrong. An example is a bowler (from cricket) bending his back to much
Enviromental (Extrinsic)
This can be an inside or outside factor of the weather and condtions.
