- an explanation for a question or a problem that can be formally tested.

- is a procedure that tests a hypothises by the process of collecting information under controlled conditions.

- the condition in an experiment that is changed.
- dependant variable
- any changes in it depend on changes made to the independent variable.
- safety symbol
- a symbol taht warns you about a danger that may exist from chemicals, electricity, heat, or procedures you will use.
- theory
- an explanation of a natural phenomenon that is suppported by a large bodyu of scintific evidence obtained from mant different investigations.
- ethics
- refers to the moral principles and values held by humans.
