- Brackish
- Water that is partly salty and partly fresh, characteristic of estuaries.
- Continental Slope
- An incline leading down from the edge of the continental shelf.
- Current
- A large stream of moving water that flows through the ocean.
- Delta
- A landform made of sediment that is deposited where a river flows into an ocean or lake.
- Desalination
- The process of obtaining fresh water from salt water by removing the salt.
- Estuary
- A coastal inlet or bay where fresh water mixes with salty ocean water.
- Intertidal Zone
