- Central idea of a work of literature or an observation.
- Antagonist
- Villian that can be a human or an obstacle.
- Rising Action
- When the main character takes action to resolve conflict, but runs into other conflict along the way.
- Protagonist
- Person who drives the action (hero).
- Foreshadowing
- Hint of things to come.
