Describe the medicine dance tent
Looked like a mouintain room. A tree in the middle, a nest on top of the tree (like a thunderbird nest). Tent was made of poles tied together with buffalo robes covering the sides and part of the roof.

The men were woodcarvers.They carved canoes out of cedar trees. Masks, totem poles talking sticks, rattles, and puppets to celebrate impportant events. the way people act during these events is called a ceremony. Kwakuitl ceremonies were full of dancing, storytelling and feasting

They cheyenne left their homes to hunt for buffalo. they used all of the Buffalo for food, clothing, tools, shelter.

Steps to carv a Totem Pole
Straight tree, cut down, remove branches, strip bark, draw the design, use charcoal to draw, begin carving figgures into the design, paint the pole. Final step is the totem pole raising ceremony unveiling hte pole.
