- a group of organisms that interact with each other and their nonliving environment.

- competition
- a relationship where organisms struggle with one another for things they need to live.
- parasite
- the invader in parasitise and feeds on living things (tapeworm)
- symbiosis
- ways that organisms live together
- host

- an energy resource that is gone once it is used (fossil fuels)
- mutualism
- a symbiotic relationship in which both members benefit
- commensalism
- a symbiotic relationship whre one member benefits, and the other is neither helped nor harmed

- an organism's role/job
- food web
- a series food chains that are connected and intertwined together.
- decomposer
- breaks down other organisms and returns those nutrients to the soil. Example: bacteria and certain kinds of fungi
- producer
- autotroph (make own food) that also produce food for other organisms
- community
- all of the living things in the environment.
- food chain
- consists of something that ate something that ate something else.
- consumer
- they eat either producers of other consumers. Example: a wolf (con) may eat a rabbit (con) who ate plants (pro)
