a series food chains that are connected and intertwined together.

breaks down other organisms and returns those nutrients to the soil. Example: bacteria and certain kinds of fungi
producer
autotroph (make own food) that also produce food for other organisms
community
all of the living things in the environment.
food chain
consists of something that ate something that ate something else.
consumer
they eat either producers of other consumers. Example: a wolf (con) may eat a rabbit (con) who ate plants (pro)
