An organism that can make its own food.

The pattern of overlapping food chains in an ecosystem.
tertiary (third-level)consumer
An organism that eats secondary consumers

A nonliving part of an ecosystem
herbivore

biotic factor

niche

trophic level
The position of an organism in relation to the flow of energy through an ecosystem (e.g., producer, consumer, and decomposer).
habitat
The place where an organism lives and that provides the things the organism needs.
ecosystem
All the living and nonliving things that interact in an area.
consumer
An organism that obtains energy by feeding on other organisms.
