Parliamentary
A system of government in which the chief executive is the leader whose party holds the most seats in the legislature after an election or whose party forms a major part of the ruling.
Places
Locations having distinctive characteristics, which give them meaning and character, and distinguish them from other locations.
Productivity
A measure of goods and services produced over a period of time with a given set of resources.
Prohibited Powers
Powers denied within the Constitution.
Producer
Especially a person or organization that produces goods or services for sale.
Physical Feature
A natural characteristic of a place (elevation, landforms, vegetation).
Political Features
Spatial expressions of political behavior; boundaries on land, water, and air space; cities, towns, counties countries.
Physical Process
A course or method of operation that produces maintains, or alters Earth's physical systems (e.g., glaciation, erosion, desposition.
Physical Systems
Processes that create, maintain, and modify Earth's physical features and environments, consisting of four catagories: atmospheric (e.g. climate), lithospheric (plate tectonics, erosion), hydrospheric (water cycle, ocean currents), and biospheric (plant and animal communities).
Philosophy
Investigation of the nature, causes, or principals of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods.
Plate Tectonics
The theory that the uppermost part of the earth is divided into plates that slide or drift very slowly, causing the formation of physical features, such as mountains.
Polytheism
The doctrine of, or belief in, a plurality of gods.
Population Distribution
Location of patterns of various populations.
Patriotism
Loyalty and devotion to one's country.
Production
The creation of value or wealth by producing goods or services.
Profit
After producing and selling a good or service, profit is the difference between revenue and cost of production. If costs are greater than revenue, profit is negative(there is a loss)
Push-Pull Factors
In migration theory, the social, political, economic, and environmental factors that drive or draw people away from their previous location, often simultaneously.
Price
Amount of money that people pay when they buy a good or service. It is largely determined by the buying and selling decisions of consumers and producers.
Primary Source
A first-hand account of an event, person, or place(official document, diary, letter, historical photograph, oral testimony).
