- Constitutional Convention
- Meating opened on May 25, 1787 in Philadelphia to revise the A of C.
- James Madison
- He is a father of constitution. Co-auther of Virginia Plan.
- The Virginia Plan
- Called for a strong national government with threebranches, the legislative branch, the executive branch, and judical branch. Bicameral. Representation based on Population
- New Jersey Plan
- Presented by William Paterson. Called for 3 branches but was unicameral. Each state would have only one vote.
- Roger Sherman
- He is from Connecticut. He worked out a compromise that would satisfy both the large state and small state. He came up with Great Compromise
- Three-fifths Compromise
- An Agreement saying three-fifths of slaves are included in state population.

- 10 Amendments ratified in December 1791, and this prevents the government from taking natural rights away from people.
