What is a wind vane?
A device used to find wind direction. Most wind vanes are shaped like a long arrow with a tail.
What are low-pressure areas?
Areas where pressure is lower than the surrounding air.
What are high-pressure areas?
Areas where pressure is higher than the surrounding air.

A device used to measure air pressure. Two kinds are a mercury and aneroid.

The lowest layer of the atmosphere which supports life. It reaches about 11km above the Earth's surface.
