Acuse issue assoc w/ some kind of infection.
Only exacerbation, no remission - Pathology Guillain Barre
- occurs weeks after infection, Pt notices limb weakness and sensory loss
- S&S Guillain Barre
- Trunk, limbs, cranial nerves are effected, No recurrence
- S&S Guillain Barre
- Inevitable hospitalization, Ventilation and NG tube, usually full recovery

- Affects nerve cells in brain and SC, progressive neruodegenerative disease

- Motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost
