- House of Representatives
- the lower house of the U.S. Congress
- minority leader
- a member of the House from a minority party who determines how his or her party will react to the majority party's programs
- bicameral legislature
- having two houses of Congress
- gerrymandering
- create a district to favor one party over another
- reapportionment
- the reassignment of seate, in the House of representatives after each tenyear census on gains of losses in a state's population
