However, the Nebraska moderate has been willing to cross the aisle to support Bush's agenda, including his tax cuts and the war in Iraq.

Monday November 15, 2:52 pm ET - The last Democrat to head the White House is Bill Clinton. Before he finished his second term in office, he had 10 of his original cabinet members resign and several of their replacements also resign. Clinton had four commerce secretaries and three secretaries of treasury, defense, and energy. Only his attorney general and secretaries of the interior, education, and health and human services endured all eight years of Clinton's presidency.

Reportedly, the military leadership preferred "Desert Freedom" because it continued the "desert" theme begun with 1991's "Operation Desert Shield," the six-month buildup to the Persian Gulf War, and "Operation Desert Storm," the air and ground assault that followed.
