Heart
Hollow muscular organ that pumps blood through the body
Purpose
Carries need subtances to cells and uneeded subtances away from cells; Blood also contains materials to help fight disease
Septum
A structure that seprates the right and left ventricles of the heart
Blood
A type of connective tissue; Mostly just plasma
Loop 1
Loop 1 gets pumped to the lungs and back to obtain oxygen
Vein
Takes blood back to heart; 3 cells thick
Plasma
The watery non-living part of the bloodstream
White Blood Cell
A cell, found in the blood stream, that fights and destroies pathogens
Capillary
Exchanges materials between blood cells and body cells; 1 cell thick
Artery
Takes blood away from heart; 3 cells thick
Platlets
A fraction of a cell, found in the blood stream, that helps to stop bleeding
Loop 2
Loop 2 gets pumped to the body and back to bring necessary materials for life
