- This was an agreement so America did not make a rule exluding the Japanese, so the Japanese made a rule not allowing people to imagrate into America

- Sherman-Anti Trust Act
- A law written in 1890 to prohibit businesses from limiting or destroying the competition. This law was originally used agianst Labor Unions. Lawers arued that labor unions were trying to destroy the companies they worked for.
