- Hernia
- a protrusion of an organ or part through connective tissue or through a wall of the cavity in which it is normally enclosed
- Anemia
- Too few red blood cells in the bloodstream

- A condition where the bladder herniates into the vaginal canal. This usually results in stress incontinence. This condition is seen with increased frequency with aging and multiparity
- Hematoma
- localised collection of blood, usually clotted, in an organ, space or tissue, due to a break in the wall of a blood vessel.
- Hypertrophy
- The enlargement or overgrowth of an organ or part due to an increase in size of its constituent cells.
- Ischemia
- A low oxygen state usually due to obstruction of the arterial blood supply or inadequate blood flow leading to hypoxia in the tissue.
- Mastectomy
- An operation to remove the whole breast.
- Myalgia
- Pain in a muscle or muscles
- Necrosis
- The sum of the morphological changes indicative of cell death and caused by the progressive degradative action of enzymes, it may affect groups of cells or part of a structure or an organ.

- Surgical puncture of the abdominal cavity for the aspiration of peritoneal fluid.
- Thoracentesis
- A medical procedure that involves the removal of fluid from the chest cavity using a hollow bore needle
- Tracheostomy
- The surgical creation of an artificial airway in the trachea (windpipe) on the anterior surface of the neck.

- Inflammation of the tonsils, especially the palatine tonsils
