- moniter
- output device that displays data and pictures to the user of the computer
- hard disc drive
- fixed storage that is arranged as a series of magnetic platters

- removable storage that can approximately 700 mb of data

- the brains of the computer, where every computer program instruction is executed

- Hardware that enables sounds to be recorded, played back, and heard on a computer.
- keyboard
- input device used to get text into the computer

- removable storage that can hold several gb of data
- video card
- converts electronic information into the text, images, movies, and animations that are displayed on a computer screen.
- mouse
- input device used to select things on screen, click, drag, move etc.
- memory
- temporary storage for data, typically no more than 512mb up to a few gb, which holds instructions for the computer just prior to their execution
