- An imaginary line that measures east and west of the prime meridian
- Longitude
- A large body of water that generally separates continents.
- Ocean
- An imaginary line that measures north and south of the equator
- Latitude
- All living and non living things in a certain place
- Ecosystem
- A delicate ecosystem found in the high latitudes.
- Tundra
- The climate found in Southeast Georgia which has hot, humid summers and mild winters.
- Subtropical
- The day to day changes in the temperature and precipitation of a region.
- Weather
- Directions on a compass: NW, NE, SW, SE
- Intermediate Points
- Any parrt of the environment used by humans.
- Natural Resource
- A flat area that is part of a mountain system.
- Plateau
- A body of water that is open to a sea and has a callm current.
- Bay
- Climates that are dry.
- Arid
- A landform totally surrounded by water.
- Island
- A body of water that has an outlet to an ocean.
- Sea
- A grassland that has plenty of rainfall that supports tall grasses; such as in the central United States.
- Prairie
- A hot or cold region that has very little precipitation.
- Desert
- A body of water that is open to a sea and has a rough current.
- Gulf
- A resource, such as fossil fuels, that can never be replaced.
- Non-renewable
- A body of water that connects two larger bodies of water.
- Strait
- A resource that people can use again and again.
- Recyclable
- Native people, plants or animals in a given region.
- Indigenous
- A grassland that has little rainfall, hot temperatures and medium grasses; such as in central Africa.
- Savanna
- A large land form with high peaks and valleys formed by folding, faulting or volcanic activity.
- Mountains
- The exact place something can be found using cooridinates on a map or a specific address.
- Absolute location
- The climate of inland areas having hot summers and cold winters.
- Continental
- An inland body of water with no outlet to a sea.
- Lake
- The average temperature and precipitation of a region
- Climate

- Cardinal Points
- A group of tributaries and streams.
- River System
- The climate of southern California, southern Europe and North Africa, which is mild with much sunshine and not not much rainfall.
- Mediterranean
- Climates that have a lot of moisture in the air.
- Humid
- The vicinity an object or place may be found by using landmarks.
- Relative location
- An ecosystem found in the low latitudes where there is dense rainfall and vegetation.
- Rainforest
- A resource that can replace itself.
- Renewable
- A piece of land that juts out into the sea, such as the "hook" of Massachusetts.
- Cape
- A land form that justs out into the sea, surrounded by water on three sides.
- Peninsula
- A grassland that has sparse rainfall, severe winters, and short grasses;such as in central Asia.
